...that is Pete's favorite line and I have to admit that it is a ton of fun (whitewater). I used to say that I did it to hone my sea kayaking skills but I am not sure that is the case nowadays. We always laugh on the multi-hour drive home, after only a couple of hours on the river, that we never "feel" like driving a couple hours for sea kayaking but for the river - heck, hang a sign on the shop that says, "... out running an errand." Sea kayaking skills are, most definitely, enhanced by white water paddling so do not hesitate to get out in a river kayak, but be aware that it can creep in under your skin...
